The Go Media Stars are proud to share some key statistics from their 2025 ANZ Premiership campaign.
Despite it being a difficult season for on-court results, there were still a lot of positive outcomes that show the Stars are continuing to grow as a team and a franchise.
Injuries contributed to a tough campaign, with 15 players taking to the court throughout. Through adversity came opportunity and the Stars had four players wear the purple dress for the first time in 2025, while a number of rising talents were able to experience first-hand what is required to perform week to week in New Zealand’s premier netball competition.
Our Stars whānau continue to be at the heart of everything we do and the fans showed their support all season, shrouding Pulman Arena in a sea of purple and helping us to sell out every one of our five home games, with over 6000 supporters in attendance.
This year’s competition was fast-paced, innovative and exciting and with Sky and TVNZ working to provide world class coverage of every ANZ Premiership game, it allowed our Stars players to shine on televisions, phones or tablets all around Aotearoa. Over 700,000 Kiwis consuming the Stars matches throughout the season.
It’s no secret the Stars have some of the most dynamic, hardworking and authentic personalities in the game and the players were able to take our supporters on a unique journey throughout the season via our wide-ranging social media content. This showcased an eclectic mix of the community engagement, competition and fun that occurs each week the team is together.
The Stars social media content gathered a whopping 11 million views across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Connecting with our community is one of the most important values for the Stars and with our 5+ A Day Schools Programme, we were able to educate over 500 children across schools in South and East Auckland around healthy eating and the benefits of physical activity.
We are encouraged to see the Stars in such a strong position as a franchise and are excited for what 2026 will hold.
